A pound of potato chips cost 200 times more than a pound of potatoes.
This is a prime example of how lazy america has become and how we are willing to pay to stay that way. Think about it for a while and then say to yourself, what would you rather eat a chip made from a factory or a chip made from your own home. There are pros and cons to this (as there is with all things) the pros of eating a chip made in a factory is salted to exact taste, sized exactly right and tastes better than a homemade potato chip. The con would be the chip is made in factory with so many unknown ingredients to keep the chips taste and form. The pro would be of course the price and my personal favorite, the pride I could take in knowing that is something I created. In short I would rather make them to save a some money but in the long run I would probably just pick up a bag.
